Dr. Savaşan, Coordinator of the Prime Ministry's Scientific Committee, pointed out that if a new positive case is detected, the closure process may come up again.

Prime Ministry Science Committee Coordinator Dr. Ahmet Savaşan Prof. Dr. Nedime Serakıncı, member of the Scientific Committee of the Prime Ministry, made evaluations on the Covid-19 process in the program they attended at BRT.

Prime Ministry Science Committee Coordinator Dr. Ahmet SavaşanErsin Tatar He said that his government has successfully managed the Covid-19 process in a way that will set an example for the world with the political decisions it made at the right time and without delay on the basis of scientific facts and sustainability.

Savaşan underlined that the main success was achieved through the political decisions taken by the government guided by science, the selfless work of physicians and health workers and the public's compliance with the rules set by the government.

Savaşan stated that the return of life to normal will be managed in 4 stages with political decisions to be produced based on scientific facts, and noted that compliance with the measures will form the basis for moving to the second stage.

“IF A POSITIVE CASE IS FOUND, THE CLOSURE PROCESS MAY BE BACK ON THE AGENDA”

Pointing out that the closure process may be on the agenda again in the event of another positive case, Savaşan noted that the sensitivity to be shown to this process is extremely important in this sense.

Savaşan also underlined that the processes in the fight against Covid-19 should proceed cautiously until a vaccine and treatment is found.

SERAKINCI “WE ACT BY FOLLOWING EVERY INTERNATIONAL PUBLICATION”

Prof. Dr. Nedime Serakıncı, a member of the Scientific Committee of the Prime Ministry, explained that in this process, as scientists, they follow new findings, clinical processes and follow every publication in the international literature and shed light on what should be done in the TRNC.

Serakıncı said that the process was well managed by raising the awareness of the society and taking the right decisions at the right time, and gave examples of how the problems experienced in European countries had failed the trust in the health systems of their societies.
